Referrers

Summary

Referrers are used in conjuction with Special Offers. The idea is if a customer reaches the website via a specified referral link, they qualify for the associated special offer.

Please note, this module relies on the user using regular expressions in order to define the relevant URL; this is an advanced feature, if you are unclear how to use this, please reach out to THG for support.

View Existing Referrers

Search using the Search by name, code or url search bar at the top left of the screen.

Global vs Non-Global

Global referrers apply to all sites at THG and cannot be controlled via Teepee. If you have any concerns about a global referrer for your site, please contact THG.

Non-global referrers are otherwise specific to a particular site.

When viewing existing referrers, you can select from the dropdown on screen whether or not to include Global referrers in the results.

Create a Referrer

Click on the Create Referrer button. Remember, any referrer you create in Teepee will only apply to your site.

Enter the referrer name, this should make it clear for other users in future when searching for existing referrers.

Enter the referrer code, this will be the special offer code.

Enter the referral URL, as a reminder, this requires use of regular expressions.

Don’t forget to then set up the corresonding special offer within the Special Offers module.
